NITI aims to promote growth in the education sector through vertical and horizontal sharing of ideas, strategies, and resources, and therefore is bringing under its ambit schools, NGOs, and corporates. We have entries from over 20 NGOs and hundreds of school children, all of whom have participated actively in the NITI Awards process by submitting their projects for social change. The NGOs will be competing for prizes like Best NGO Footprint, Best Idea of Scale, Best Social Impact, while school students will be competing for prizes like Best School Project, Best Idea of Scale, and Idea of the Future. NITI will go a long way in harnessing the synergy between schools, corporates, and NGOs, and therefore will have a captive audience from the same. The award will be attended by the NITI Mentor Panel, which includes Dr. Balmiki Prasad (Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs), Mr. Rakesh Gupta (Founder, Routes 2 Roots), Dr. Aman Iqbal (Founder, Vantage Enterprise), Mr. Suhaditya Guha (Strategic Education Consultant, NGO Mentor), and Mr. Rajagopalan (Ex-Chairman, Public Relations Society of India), Mr. Akram Hoque (Founder Editor, The Policy Times). Aim: To promote growth in the education sector through vertical and horizontal sharing of ideas, strategies, and resources Structure: Two verticals – one for NGOs, and one for school students – to promote regular discussion through panels, seminars, hand-holding, and networking, on issues ailing the education sector, as well as to make the youth more employable as well as socially conscious, through exposure programmes and social entrepreneurship. Manpower – Through its extensive tie-ups with institutions, and its own manpower of over 1000 young and enthusiastic students, NDIM through NITI will help NGOs source the manpower they need to successfully scale-up 4.
