Samvedna is a non-profit organisation aimed at conducting tournaments and igniting the spirit of sports. The trust, through funds collected, organises chess classes in the slums of Delhi to teach the underprivileged and give them a chance to express their talent in the field of sports. The organisation was founded by a brother-sister duo, both teenagers, who themselves are avid players. Last year, the first event was a great success having garnered the attention of 250+ players and being endorsed by the sports minister of the country.
